RA-Aus members are from all corners of the country, but being able to fly gives them a chance to see Australia in a way that few others can. It also means members can meet despite long distances and share their passion and love of flying. It sure is great to have a national organization to look after our interests, seeking to expand our horizons, while helping us with practical things such as getting updates on safety data, news about events and fly-ins, finding maintenance engineering help and a host of other things.

If you are at least 15 years of age and are medically fit enough to hold a drivers license, then you pretty much have all you need! RA-Aus Pilots are at the recreational end of the spectrum, and the cockpit controls may not be nearly as complex and demanding as some other types of aircraft. The good news is that once you learn the basics of flying a recreational aircraft, it's not that hard to adjust to another type. With Schools, clubs and members dotted across the country, there's also plenty of opportunity to get advice and help when you need it. So why not come and join the RA-Aus family!
